As the choir and congregation join in the singing of the Gloria, the Priest continues to read the prayer, making several bows where particular reverence is due.
When he has finished reading, the Priest moves to the sedilia (seat) and puts on his biretta. He remains seated, uncovering his head during the remaining bows, while the choir sings the rest of the Gloria.
