The Communion of the Faithful

Turning to the people, and with a Host in his hand, the Priest says "Ecce Agnus Dei..." ("Behold the Lamb of God, behold Him Who taketh away the sins of the world").

The Priest then repeats the prayer "Domine, non sum dignus" three times ("Lord I am not worthy that Thou shouldst come under my roof; but only say the words and my soul shall be healed").

Distribution of Communion

Communion is distributed by the Priest to the faithful, who kneel reverently and receive Communion on the tongue.  The Priest uses the prayer "Corpus Domini nostri Jesus Christi custodiat animam tuam in vitam aeternam.  Amen".  ("The Body of our Lord Jesus Christ keep thy soul unto life everlasting.  Amen.")
