Prayer to the Holy Ghost

Raising his eyes to Heaven, extending and then joining his hands, the Priest invokes the Holy Ghost whose operation is necessary for the great act of transubstantiation which will follow shortly:

VENI, Sanctificator omnipotens aeterne Deus: et benedic The sign of the cross.hoc sacrificum tuo sancto nomini praeparatum.

COME, O Sanctifier, Almighty and Eternal God, and bless The sign of the cross.this sacrifice prepared for the glory of Thy holy Name.
