Blessing of Incense at High Mass

At High Mass the Priest blesses the incense with the following prayer:

PER intercessionem beati Michaelis Archangeli, stantis a dextris altaris incensi, et omnium electorum suorum, incensum istud dignetur Dominus The sign of the crossbenedicere, et in odorem suavitatis accipere.  Per Christum Dominum nostrum.  Amen.

THROUGH the intercession of the blessed Michael the Archangel standing at the right hand of the altar of incense, and of all His elect, may the Lord vouchsafe to bless The sign of the crossthis incense and to receive it in the odour of sweetness.  Through Christ or Lord.  Amen.
