ANEM caelestem
accipiam, et nomen Domini invocabo.
WILL take the Bread
of heaven, and will call upon the Name of the Lord.
The Priest repeats the following prayer, striking his breast three times:
OMINE, non sum
dignus, ut intres sub tectum meum: sed tantum dic verbo, et sanabitur anima mea.
ORD, I am not
worthy that Thou shouldst enter under my roof; say but the word and my soul shall be healed.
The Priest makes the sign of the cross with the Host over the paten and says:
ORPUS Domini nostri
Jesu Christi custodiat animam meam in vitam aeternam. Amen.
HE Body of our Lord
Jesus Christ preserve my soul unto life everlasting. Amen.
The Priest consumes the Sacred Host and then says the following prayer with profound adoration:
UID retribuam
Domino pro omnibus quae retribuit mihi? Calicem salutaris accipiam, et nomen Domini invoacbo. Laudans invocabo Dominum, et ab
inimicis meis salvus ero.
HAT return shall I
render unto the Lord for all He has given me? I will take the chalice of salvation, and I will call upon the Name of the Lord.
Praising I will call upon the Lord, and I shall be saved from all my enemies.
The Priest takes the Chalice in his right hand, makes the sign of the cross with it and says:
ANGUIS Domini
nostri Jesu Christi custiodiat animam meam in vitam aeternam. Amen.
HE Blood of our
Lord Jesus Christ preserve my soul to life everlasting. Amen.
The Priest receives the Previous Blood.
