The Gradual and the Alleluia

http://www.sspx.co.uk/images/stories/masspics/mass19.jpg

The choir begins to sing the Gradual and Alleluia or the Tract and Sequence (according to the Proper of the Mass for the day).

The Priest reads the same prayer from the Missal and then sits at the sedilia.  As the choir nears the end of the chant the Priest returns to the centre of the altar.
