Useful Information

Mater Dei used to be published by the Society in Great Britain and as from November 2015 is incorporated into the District Newsletter (Ite Missa Est) as opposed to being a separate entity. The Mater Dei section is under the patronage of the Blessed Virgin Mary from whom it takes its name "Mater Dei" or "Mother of God."

By this title, we wish to testify that our confidence in the Blessed Virgin Mary is without reserve. We are certain that She, who is already so wonderfully assisting the ministry of our Society in this country, will take this initiative under Her particular protection. Knowing that a Catholic magazine is such an important tool in the pastoral work of the Church, we have no doubt that the Blessed Virgin will support and bless this field of our apostolate that we confide to Her most special care.

The section contains in-depth articles from a Catholic perspective and features a special section devoted to Archbishop Lefebvre. His Lordship Bishop Fellay and the other Bishops of the Society are regular contributors and the magazine also includes articles on spirituality and book reviews.

Annual Subscription

As the former Mater Dei magazine is now incorporated into the Ite Missa Est Newsletter, it can be read online for free, or the Newsletter can be purchased for £1.00 per copy at SSPX Chapels and Mass Centres, or from St. George's House for a six-monthly subscription using this subscription form.
